Foster Parent Representation

For more than a decade, the Children's Law Center has responded to the huge influx of calls from foster parents across Colorado. During extended foster care placements, many foster parents naturally develop deep emotional ties with their foster children and become concerned when no one is truly advocating for them.

The Foster Parent Training Program empowers foster parents by providing resources, training and education. We train foster parents to advocate for the children in their care proactively and on a continuing basis. The goal of this program is to ensure effective advocacy for foster children by their foster parents.

Please call 303.692.1165 for training or assistance. We urge foster parents to call prior to a decision being made when options for assistance are limited.

We are committed to helping foster families by providing resources and, when necessary, legal representation in partnership with volunteer attorneys. Such a commitment would not be possible without the generous support of the Helen K. and Arthur E. Johnson Foundation
